Gather your people. Make something lovely!
Some things are simply better when the table is filled with people you already know.
Fern & Fable Private Gatherings are creative workshops reserved just for your group — a chance to make something lovely together, linger a little longer, laugh too loudly, and enjoy the experience without sharing the table with strangers.
Perfect for book clubs, birthdays, friend groups, moms’ groups, workplace gatherings, creative clubs, small celebrations, or simply an excuse to get your favourite people together.
A Fern & Fable gathering, just for you
A Private Gathering has all the things you’d expect from a Fern & Fable workshop — beautiful materials, a thoughtfully designed project, plenty of creative freedom, and a welcoming place to settle in and make.
The difference is that the table is yours.
You choose your people, and together we’ll choose a project and date that suit the group. I’ll take care of the creative details so you can simply arrive and enjoy the gathering.
No crafting experience is needed. Really.
What could your gathering look like?
Maybe your book club wants to make something wonderfully bookish together.
Maybe it’s a birthday where nobody particularly wants balloons and party games but everyone would happily spend two hours surrounded by flowers, old books and glue.
Maybe you’ve been saying, “We should all get together sometime,” for six months and this is finally the sometime.
Private Gatherings can be created for all sorts of groups and occasions. They don’t need to be formal, milestone-worthy or particularly sensible.
Sometimes “we wanted to make something together” is reason enough.
Choosing your project
You won’t find an enormous catalogue of fixed private-event packages here — deliberately.
Fern & Fable projects change with the seasons, the materials I’m collecting, and the ideas currently taking over the cottage.
When you inquire, tell me a little about your group and the kind of gathering you have in mind. I’ll suggest a few projects that would work beautifully for your date, group size and overall vibe.
Some may be projects you’ve seen at a public Fern & Fable workshop. Others may be adapted especially for your gathering.

How it works
-
Tell me about your group. Share your preferred date, approximate number of guests, occasion and anything you already have in mind.
2. We choose the project. I’ll suggest a few options that suit your group, season and budget.
3. Your gathering is created. Once everything is confirmed, I can create a private booking page just for your guests
so they can purchase their own seats — no collecting money or chasing people for payment.
4. Come gather and make. I prepare the materials, set the table and guide everyone through the project. You bring the people.
At the cottage — or out in the wild
Most small Private Gatherings can happen right here at the Fern & Fable cottage studio.
The studio is intimate by design, with space for up to 8 guests around the table — just enough for conversation, creativity and passing the scissors without shouting across a ballroom.
For larger groups, workplace events, community gatherings or occasions that need a little more room, an off-site gathering may also be possible depending on the project and venue.
If you already have a location in mind, tell me about it when you inquire.
What does it cost?
Private Gathering pricing depends on the project, materials, group size and whether we’re gathering at the cottage or another venue.
Once I know a little about what you’re planning, I’ll give you clear options before anything is booked.
In many cases, I can create a private Fern & Fable event page for your gathering. You simply share the link with your guests and they book and pay for their own seats directly.
Prefer to treat the whole group? One person can arrange payment for the gathering instead.
Nice and simple. Nobody needs to become the reluctant treasurer of craft night. 😂
Have something in mind?
You don’t need to arrive with the whole thing figured out.
Send me your approximate group size, a few possible dates and anything you know about the kind of experience you’d like to have.
We’ll figure out the rest together.
Gather your people. Make something lovely.
